How To Taking Order

How to taking order in restaurant or food and beverage outlet? Can the waiter or waitress do it? It’s must be as a great server. I’m sure that you as the good waiter have got the skill to do it but how the newbie who enter to the food and beverage world recently? Don’t worry here some tips to make better in your taking order but its still far from perfection so you must to find the other tips and never stop to learn.

Some little of tips which you can use to taking order is:
1.Always check up for availability menus specially the limited items and get ready all of tools which you needed.
2.Watch the situation of your customer doesn’t disturb them and let for several minutes to have comfortable sitting.
3.Stand straightly and take several distances so that comfortable but don’t too long.
4.Give your customer a polite greeting and use the mannered sentences and so clearly.
5.Always friendly smile to customer who will taking an order with you, be polite with them.
6.Ask to the guest have ready to order or not yet.
7.Suggest the best menu and special menu in your restaurant while giving the menu to the guest.
8.Take order from the woman first then man. Remember always serve the woman first.
9.Listen carefully to your customer order make sure that the sound of guest so clearly in your ear.
10.Be careful to the special order make sure that you’ll serve as they want to.
11.Repeat the order it’s must be to do to avoid the fault order.
12.Make sure that the entire customer has been taking order.
13.Ask once more is there anything else to take order and special request.
14.Don't over badger while ordering just feel the suitable suggestion menu.
15.Remember each the host or customer with they order not only sitting number, its may change sitting number or chair event the table. So you wouldn’t make mistake in serving.
16.Never forget to say thanks for the order after you finished the taking order.
17.Aware and make the customer is number one.
18.The most important obey all of the Job Descriptions and Standard Operational Procedure (SOP).

This is true that taking an order is not as easy as one might think but some times it’s very cheerful activity at the same time we can learn how to handle a strange host and make it our experience to be better and better server in the next time. I sure you will be. Amin.
