Serving

The steps to serve in formal restaurant have the strict rule which must be obey for waiters. It's good to be aware of how these things happen. Realize that the primary duty of a waiter or waitress is to be helpful, invisible and always present to customer. How can they be helpful people this is must be in hearth of waiters.

In this chance I will inform how to serve to the customer in formal restaurant and classify to two ways that are beverage and food. Here some tips for you.

Beverage serving:
1.Always use your tray to take all of beverage.
2.Don’t over lift up the glass in your tray; just think how much which you can bring in your tray.
3.Bring the beverage to the customer first proportionally.
4.Remember to the customer what they have ordered.
5.Walk as fast as you can but don’t run or seem in hurry.
6.Always give to the children, woman then to man. Note if your customer bring their child. Except no child just lady first.
7.Never forget to say “Excuse me” and mention the kind of beverage which you brought to the customer to make sure the right order for right guest.
8.Ask them is there anything else to serve.

Food serving:
1.Prepare all of condiment which needed.
2.Never forget with your napkin make sure always in clean condition.
3.Always give to the children, woman then to man. Note if your customer bring their child. Except no child just lady first.
4.Lift up the food in bank of the plate with your napkin.
5.Beware with the hot plate, don’t ever touch without napkin and say the hot plate which you brought to customer.
6.Bring the food quickly but don’t run.
7.Avoid over-reaching across tables or booths.
8.Mention all of the food while serving to the guest and make sure that your customer gets the right order.
9.Ask to customer is there anything else and don’t forget to give salt, paper sauce or anything.
10.In full of polite say sentence for example “enjoy your food”, “have nice dinners” etceteras.

Here kind of food which you must bring serially:
Appetizers.
Soups.
Salads.
Entrees or Main Course.
Desserts.


A serving is mean show how prestige the restaurant, so don’t stop to make better and better in service especially for the formal dinning restaurant. Always try to use full manner serving and get successful for you. Amen.
